New Players Required for the 2008/9 Season

Sawtry Colts Football Club’s girls teams are looking fore new players from Sawtry and the surrounding area that are interested in becoming part of one of the teams that play in local leagues. Sawtry Colts currently runs girls teams at U10, U11 and U12 and are looking to increase the number of teams they run next season, with the addition of another U10’s team as the other girls step up an age group.

Sawtry Colts are one of the largest youth football providers in the local area and have recently worked up to include 3 girls teams and they hope to introduce a 4^th next season (U10-U13). Girls who qualify for playing in next seasons U10 and U11 age groups, of all abilities are welcomed, including those who have never played before.

If you or somebody you know would be interested in giving football a try out then come along to a training session at Greenfields, Straight Drove, Sawtry (behind Scandstick) on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm to 7.30pm from 1st May onwards. Turn up at 6.20pm to register and have a free trial session to see how you enjoy it. (Or before that at Sawtry Leisure Centre Astro Turf on a Friday evenings at 7-8pm from 4th to 25 April)

All players that register and play in league games will be provided with playing kit, rain jacket, sweatshirt and tracksuit bottoms, which are funded by our sponsors. So you will only need to provide boots and shin pads.

Age Ranges For The 2008/2009 Season

U11 - After 01 Sep 1997 - Before 31 Aug 1999

U10 - After 01 Sep 1998 - Before 31 Aug 2000

Sawtry Colts is a FA Charter Standard club which means that all managers and coaches are CRB checked and have a minimum of an FA Level 1 Coaching Certificate (which includes Safeguarding Children & Emergency First Aid).
