Match report from Priory Parkside Vs Sawtry Colts on 6 October 2007: Sawtry Cup Run Kicks Off Sawtry Colts U10 Girls started their S-Tech Cup campaign against Priory Parkside. The game started off as a very close encounter with Hannah Ainsworth and Sophie Godward battling hard in midfield to support Nicole Stefanelli and Megan Purnell up front. Calista Brix Craig and Ellie Bishop combined to eliminate any pressure from Priory coming forward. After 4 minutes Megan latched onto a through ball from Nicole and struck the ball well to lob the keeper. Priory then responded well with two goals in 5 minutes. The pressure continued and Sawtry had a change around with Olivia Gracey, Katherine Hinton & Louise Holland joining the action. All the Sawtry girls continues to battle and score stayed a 2/1 until he break. Straight after the break the Sawtry girls had a lapse of concentration which allowed Priory to make it 3-1. The after another 3 minutes Priory made it 4-1. A long midfield battle then followed with both teams having a couple of chances. But Priory finished stronger with another goal to make the final score 5-1. Well done to both to all the Priory & Sawtry Girls who put a lot of effort to create very entertaining and enjoyable game which was very much enjoyed both sets of supporters.
