Match report from Cambridge City Vs Sawtry Colts on 29 September 2007: Wining Streak Comes To An End Sawtry Colts U10 Girls wining streak came to an end when they faced a very well organised and skilful Cambridge City side who have had 2 years together to create what looks to be an unbeatable force this season. City scored early to start the ball rolling and then following up with 5 more in short succession while the Sawtry girls tried to get to grips with the force of Cambridge. Solid performances from Ellie Bishop, Katherine Hinton and Calista Brix-Craig in defence kept the pressure off of Amy Martin as much as was possible and Nicole Stefanelli and Megan Purnell chased everything to try to get a break through. Hannah Ainsworth, Sophie Godward and Louise Holland battled hard in midfield to try to contain the might of the Cambridge girls. Olivia Gracey, Hannah and Sophie continued to work hard in the second half and started to create some chances, but the pace and skill of the Cambridge girls denied them any goals for their hard work and effort.. Amy was again rewarded Girl of the Match for keeping her spirits up and continuing to give outstanding display against very good opposition. A special mention must go to Katherine Hinton who performed an exceptional cartwheel while defending. Well done to the Sawtry girls who put in a lot of effort and hard work and never let their heads drop throughout the game. Final Score: Cambridge City 16 - 0 Sawtry Colts.
